Ufotable has continued to animated the series after the success of the Demon Slayer Mugen Train movie and its critical appreciation. The Demon Slayer Season 3 trailer is not yet available. However, the promo reel/ teaser below will allow you to enjoy intense animation.

The teaser for season 3 is only a 30 second video. It starts at the 50-second mark of the video. The video shows Tanjiro and the Love Hashira (the Mist Hashira), on their way to the Swordsmith Village. We then see the fight in the village. You can see it yourself.

#3 Story Plot of ### Demon Slayer Season 3

Spoiler Warning! This section contains significant spoilers about the second season. If you aren't familiar with the anime, it is best to skip this section.

Season 2 Recap

Season 2 of Demon Slayer sees our characters and TengenUzui, sound Hashira, explore the entertainment district in which Tengen's agents are missing. Soon, they discover that the demon has taken over and is using all of their residents as his pawns. The show is now in a new realm thanks to a combination of detective and action plotlines.

Season 2 concludes with the heroes facing off against demon brothers: Daki & Gyotaro. Their incredible coordination and unpredictability make them an insurmountable enemy. The demon slayers win without major injuries or consequences. This victory was not a normal one. Daki, a Upper Moon Demon, had a connection to Muzan Kibutsuji (the main antagonist in Demon Slayer). There could be serious consequences.

The other side of the coin is that this season revealed that KagayaUbuyashiki, the head of the Demon Slayer Association, was currently in bed. Not every Hashira was as thrilled about this turn of events as the others. The death of Kyojurorengoku (the fire Hashira) is still an open wound. The defeat of the Upper Moon demon is a significant success, but it does not mean that the DSA as a whole is at its best.

Swordsmith Village Arch

The Swordsmith Village Arc will be the focus of Season 3 of Demon Slayer. This occurs immediately following the Entertainment District events that Season 2 focused on. Season 3 of the anime will open with Manga volume 12, which is described by Viz Media as under:

The Twelve Kizuki's upper ranks are now not fully filled for the first time since over 100 years. Angrily, Muzan sends the survivors to another mission. Tanjiro travels to Haganezuka to tell him how his sword got so severely damaged. As Tanjiro waits to have his sword repaired, some enemies approach…

In the third season, Demon Slayer's protagonist Tanjiro will travel to the village of the swordsmith to get his sword fixed. The location of the village, which is the Demon Slayer Association's most valuable possession, remains a closely guarded secret. The location of the village is very important to the Demon Slayer Association. Without the swords the demon slayers cannot get their Nichirin knives, which are the best way to defeat them. Unfortunately, Tanjiro's visit to the village is interrupted by some demons who get wind of the location and launch an attack.

The demon group also includes two upper moons: Gyokko and Hantengu. The village is under attack by these two demons. Tanjiro and the Mist Hashira have Muichiro Tokito's support but they may not be able to defeat them. They have to defend a village which is vital to the survival of demon slayers.

One of the demons is capable of making copies of itself, and even healing instantly. The demon slayers, while outnumbered, are also outpowered. What will happen to this battle? We are eager to see the results for ourselves.

How many episodes will Demon Slayer Season 3 have?

Season 3 will cover the whole Swordsmith Village storyline, which is 25 chapters long in the Demon Slayer manga. The anime adaptation will have approximately 11-12 episodes, similar to season 2 of the Entertainment District Arc.

How to Watch Demon Slayer 3

Demon Slayer season 3, unless new contracts are signed around the next season, will be available on the same platforms that the previous seasons. The release date may vary, however. The new Demon Slayer season will be available on:

  • Funimation
  • Crunchyroll
  • Netflix
  • Hulu
  • DisneyPlus

Funimation or Crunchyroll usually get the most recent anime episodes. Netflix is the fastest and most reliable alternative if they are not available in your area.

When will the Demon Slayer anime end?

There are 11 episodes in The Demon Slayer manga. The Swordsmith Village is number 9. We are left with these two arcs at the moment:

  • Hashira Training Arc: Chapters 128-136
  • Final Battle Arc Infinity Castle Chapters 137-183
    • Sunrise Countdown: Chapters 184-205

Although it's possible to sum up the Demon Slayer episodes in just two seasons, there are likely more. Because of the enormous worldwide revenue generated by Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, it is possible to sum up the remaining Demon Slayer arcs in just two seasons. It is unlikely that anime creators are going to be able to shake off the excitement so easily. Although the anime story won't be extended beyond manga, the final section might become a film. This is just our speculation. The end of season 3 will bring any confirmation.
